Mia the Meek

What could be worse than having your mom as your English teacher? For fourteen year-old Mia Fullerton, it would be accidentally setting a science lab table on fire, getting stranded on the bathroom floor in a suit of armor, hiring the school custodian as a DJ for the first school dance, and having her first kiss with the hottest guy in school right in front of her parents.

Before starting her freshman year at St. Hilary’s High School, Mia had one goal: get rid of her horrible nickname, Mia the Meek. But, after being tricked into running against the viciously popular Cassie Foster for student council president, becoming the girlfriend of Cassie’s ex, the home-boy wannabe Jake Harris, and unwillingly falling for her obnoxiously arrogant neighbor Tim Radford--all during the first month of school--Mia soon realizes she has bigger worries than getting rid of a silly nickname. She has to survive the rest of her ninth grade year!
